Title: Recommendations for Providing Community Colleges with the Resources They Need

Source: The Century Foundation

A new report by The Century Foundation discusses the true cost of community college education, current funding gaps, and the steps policymakers can take to overcome those gaps.

The report identifies the need for enhanced funding and detailed evaluation metrics that can identify how best to improve the outcomes of community college students. The Century Foundation also provides readers with the process (and real-life examples) commonly used for funding K-12 education, applied to a community colleges context.

The report concludes with recommendations on how institutions and policymakers can better track and make use of data on student enrollment, completion, positive labor market outcomes, and other factors that affect cost, funding, and student success.
