Title: Strong Foundations Survey
Source: State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO)

The State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO) released their 2020 survey results which capture “the state of state postsecondary data.” Survey findings are available through a data map that identifies states either currently linking or planning to link postsecondary data with early childhood, K-12, and workforce data, among other information. Some insights include:

  • 23 state house agencies (e.g. college systems) currently link or plan to link early childhood and postsecondary data.
  • 34 states house at least one agency that can access both K-12 and workforce data.
  • At least one agency across 43 states currently links or plans to link higher education and workforce data.

In addition to being customizable, users can see how agencies’ data systems and plans have changed since 2010.
