The University of Southern California’s Pullias Center for Higher Education recently recognized the University of Denver and Worchester Polytechnic Institute—both ACE member institutions—as the recipients of the 2021 Delphi Award.

Given in partnership with the Association for American Colleges & Universities (AAC&U), the Delphi Award recognizes institutions for “their work to support adjunct contingent, and/or non-tenure-track faculty (NTTF) in promoting student success.”

The University of Denver was selected for providing over 200 full-time lecturers full-time status with renewable contracts, access to formal promotion and professional advancement opportunities, and a defined role in university governance.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute was selected for creating a new tenure track specifically for teaching faculty and providing greater job security through long-term contracts for NTTF.

Both institutions received $15,000 cash awards to continue these efforts on their campuses.

The University of Michigan—also an ACE member institution—was recognized as a Delphi Award finalist for their successful efforts to support non-tenure-track faculty.
